Should I Mention Something That Seems to Be Wearing Down Faster Than Expected?

Yes — absolutely, and doing so is one of the most valuable things you can do for yourself during our visits.

One of the biggest benefits of our inspection process is helping document normal wear and tear before it becomes a problem at move-out.

We’ve seen great residents blindsided by frustrated owners who suddenly notice years of deferred maintenance all at once. Even when it’s normal wear and tear, that “big reveal” can create unnecessary tension. By reporting items that seem to be wearing down faster than expected, we can document them with photos and timestamps, creating a clear record that protects you later.

Consistent documentation disarms owner complaints and prevents unfair move-out charges. It also helps us manage expectations well before emotions run high at the end of a lease.

If you can’t be home during a visit, just direct us to the issue ahead of time — or send photos and a quick note. Even a small amount of documentation goes a long way toward ensuring your move-out process stays smooth and drama-free.
