Rental & Leasing Process Timeline (MoveZen's Method)

Step 1: Application Submitted (Day 0–1)

Prospective residents apply online 24/7 through MoveZen’s secure platform.

  • Applicants complete background, credit, income, and rental history verification.

  • Our team begins screening immediately using our proprietary evaluation system.


Step 2: Application Review (Day 1–3)

We analyze each applicant’s full financial and rental profile—not just their credit score.

  • We look for long-term reliability and responsibility, not perfection.

  • Typical approval time: 1–3 business days.


Step 3: Deposit & Lease Execution (Day 3–5)

Once approved, the applicant must submit the security deposit within 24–48 hours.

  • Lease terms are finalized and executed by MoveZen.

  • Owners receive a full copy for their records.

  • Deposits are securely held in escrow per state law.


Step 4: Move-In Preparation (Day 5–10)

  • Utilities and services are transferred.

  • Final inspections and readiness checks are completed.

  • Move-in date is confirmed with both resident and owner.


Step 5: Resident Move-In & Owner Disbursement (Typically Day 10–20)

  • Resident takes possession of the property.

  • Funds are disbursed to the owner on the next scheduled payment cycle (typically the 10th, 17th, or 23rd of the month).


Step 6: Lease Term & Renewal Strategy (Month 12–24)

  • We monitor lease performance, resident satisfaction, and market timing.

  • Renewal or pricing adjustments are planned 2–3 months before expiration to minimize vacancy.
