# Do Property Managers Show Favoritism?
## Our property managers are human, so it can happen on occasion — but at MoveZen, we’ve built systems and culture that make it far less likely than in most companies.
We have an experienced, collaborative team structure that ensures **multiple people are involved at critical points** in the management process. This oversight, combined with our high hiring standards, helps keep decision-making consistent, professional, and fair.

### The Bigger Challenge: Micromanagement
Interestingly, the more common issue isn’t favoritism — it’s **micromanagement**.
When an account manager is constantly second-guessed or overruled, they tend to freeze up and **become overly passive**, waiting for instruction instead of taking proactive, strategic action.
If that happens, results suffer. The truth is, if we aren’t empowered to lead strategy — the pricing, marketing, and operational decisions we’ve proven to work — we can’t take full responsibility for performance.
Our best outcomes come when **owners and managers trust each other**, communicate clearly, and stay aligned on strategy.
