When Someone Visits my Leased Home, What’s the Proper Procedure According to the Lease for Handling My Pets?
Before any vendor or staff member enters your home, all pets must be safely crated — no exceptions. This rule protects both your pets and the people working in your home.
Because maintenance visits and inspections often involve doors opening unexpectedly, it’s critical that your animals remain secured until the visit is complete. Our team cannot risk accidental escapes or injuries, and pet owners should not assume that vendors or staff can monitor pets while working.
Please keep pets crated until you’ve been notified that the visit is finished. If you’re unsure, you’re always welcome to text for confirmation. Third-party vendors may not be as familiar with this process, so when in doubt, double-check directly with them before letting your pets roam free again.
