Occupied Showing Tips & Information for Residents
We don't decide when to list a home, the owner does. If we had our choice, we would wait until about a week before you move out, but that rarely goes over well with antsy rental owners.
We're sorry about the inconvenience this causes, but it is a well known and fundamental aspect of being a renter. Please honor your committments in the lease which outlines clearly the owners right to reasonable access for things such as showings. If not, they can force us to enforce them aggressively and often do.
If the home shows well, and you are reasonably easy to schedule with, our odds of renting the home quickly go up dramatically. If not, the home will definitely sit on the market with a steady flow of showings up to your move out. Once rented, we are almost completely out of your way so it's in your best interest to help with that. We know residents can nail down the steps needed to get a home rented quickly, because they do an amazing job when breaking the lease. Less so for a standard move out but it still benefits you.
Want tips and details to make the most of showings while we try to find your replacement? We need to sell the listing, location, and situation and that means you need to take crucial steps before we go live. Find details here. While this refrerences breaking your lease, the showing notice process is the same (the portion about company handling), except you won't be scheduling or meeting renters yourself.
