How to Send an Owner Contribution to MoveZen

You can send funds to MoveZen by submitting an owner contribution through your AppFolio Portal

Owner contributions can be submitted securely through the AppFolio Owner Portal using a credit/debit card or eCheck (ACH). This is the fastest way to get funds to the property. 

Steps to Submit a Contribution

  1. Log in to the Owner Portal at the link above. 
  2. Click the Contributions tab in the left-side menu.
  3. Select the correct property from the dropdown — if you have multiple properties managed by MoveZen, make sure you choose the right one before entering an amount.
  4. Enter the contribution amount (portal maximum is $15,000 per transaction).
  5. Select your payment method — credit/debit card or eCheck (ACH). Fees differ based on the method selected. E-Check is lowest fee and most recommended. 
  6. Click Continue, enter your payment details, then review and click Submit.

You'll receive an email confirmation once the payment is successfully submitted. Save or print it for your records.

Payment Clearance & Repair Timelines

If your contribution is required before work can begin — such as a repair deposit or vendor prepayment — please be aware that we cannot authorize vendors to proceed until funds have fully cleared.

  • Credit/Debit Card ✓ Recommended: Funds clear instantly. This is by far the best option if repairs need to begin quickly or a vendor is waiting on payment to proceed.
  • eCheck (ACH): Funds are held for a mandatory 3-day clearance period before we are able to use them. Even if the payment shows as submitted, work cannot begin until that window has passed.
  • Mailed Check: Slowest option — requires physical receipt, processing, and full clearance before any work can be authorized. Only recommended when timing is not a factor at all.

If a vendor is waiting on funds to begin work, please use a credit or debit card. No other method allows us to move immediately.
